Business Days Calculator FAQ
Everything about calculating business days in HubSpot with the Business Days Calculator app.
- Is the Business Days Calculator really free?
- The Calculate Business Days workflow action is free forever. There is no trial period, no credit card required, and no usage limit. A Premium tier with additional actions is planned, and the Calculate action will always remain free.
- Does the app read my HubSpot contacts or CRM data?
- No. The Calculate action takes two date values and a country code as inputs. It never reads, stores, or transmits your CRM records. The only data stored is your portal OAuth token and your chosen country setting.
- Which countries and holidays are supported?
- The app includes public holiday calendars for 145 plus countries, sourced from the holidays open-source library. Weekends are excluded automatically, and you can add custom company holidays on the Premium tier.
- Does it work with HubSpot Starter, Professional, or Enterprise?
- Yes. Workflow actions work on any HubSpot plan that includes Workflows. The app installs through direct OAuth authorization.
- How do I calculate business days between two date properties in a workflow?
- Add the Calculate Business Days action to your workflow. Set the Start Date and End Date inputs to the HubSpot date properties you want to compare, then select your country. The action outputs the number of working days as a number you can use in branches, delays, or property updates.
- What happens to my data if I uninstall?
- Uninstalling the app revokes the OAuth token. The only stored data, your portal ID and country setting, is deleted within 30 days per the privacy policy.
- Is the Business Days Calculator on the HubSpot App Marketplace?
- The Business Days Calculator is a HubSpot app you can install today through direct OAuth authorization. It is not yet publicly listed on the HubSpot App Marketplace. Installation works the same way: you authorize the app in your portal and the Calculate Business Days action appears in the workflow action list.
- Does it exclude weekends and public holidays?
- Yes. The Calculate action always excludes Saturdays and Sundays, and it excludes the public holidays for the country you select. That is the difference between calendar days and true business days.
- Can I measure time to first response or SLA windows in business days?
- Yes. Point the Start Date and End Date at the relevant timestamp properties, for example ticket create date and first response date, and the action returns the elapsed working days. Use the result to branch, escalate, or report on SLA compliance.
- How is this different from HubSpot native business-day delays?
- HubSpot workflow delays can wait until a later business day, but they do not return a number you can store, compare, or report on, and holiday handling is limited. The Calculate action returns the exact count of business days between two dates as a usable number, with localized public holidays for 145 plus countries.
